Before midnight, a summary of the dissolution of the KP Assembly will be sent to the governor: Attorney Saif

A spokesperson for the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, stated on Tuesday that Governor Haji Ghulam Ali will receive the summary of the dissolution of the KP Assembly before midnight.

“A summary will be sent to the governor for dissolution of the assembly today,” he told Dawn.com. By midnight tonight, the summary will be delivered.

On January 14, the Punjab Assembly (PA) was dissolved because Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman stated that he was unable to participate in the process.

KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan also promised to dissolve the provincial assembly following the dissolution of the PA, stating that a summary would be sent to Governor Ali on January 17 (current day).

In accordance with instructions from leader Imran Khan, the CM tweeted, “A summary for dissolution of the KP assembly will be sent to the governor on Tuesday.”

The announcement was made following an online meeting that took place at the CM House between PTI chairman Imran Khan, the KP cabinet, and former KP governor Shah Farman.

During his speech today at the 86th cabinet meeting, CM Mahmood thanked the provincial bureaucracy and MPAs from both the government and the opposition for the successful four years.

“I thank the people of KP for placing their trust in me,” he went on to say. In the upcoming general elections, we will obtain a two-thirds majority to form a government for the entire nation.

The chief minister stated that getting rid of the corrupt gang was necessary because the country was unstable due to imported rulers.

While he was attending an important party meeting via video link from London, supreme PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif promised that the federal coalition would not be “blackmailed” by the PTI chief’s demand to hold snap elections on January 15.

Dawn heard from a party insider that Nawaz was clear about Imran’s request for nationwide snap elections. “We will not be manipulated by Khan’s demand, no matter what,” Nawaz had stated. The general elections will be held on time.
