PESHAWAR: Mahmood Khan, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reaffirmed on Saturday that he would not hesitate to dissolve the provincial assembly if instructed to do so by Imran Khan, his party chairman.
I’ve always maintained that Imran Khan, chairman of the PTI, treats me poorly as an employee. I am owed this position by him. “I wouldn’t hesitate for a minute if he asks me to dissolve the provincial assembly,” stated Chief Minister Khan.
He denied media reports that he would send the governor a summary on Saturday night requesting the dissolution of the KP Assembly.
He stated to Dawn, “This is false.” I said that everyone is waiting to hear whether or not the Punjab Assembly has been disbanded. We will begin the procedure in KP if the chairman asks us to.
“The moment I move the summary, I will WhatsApp its image to you all,” the chief minister stated in an address to the newly elected Peshawar Press Club.
He mocked those who claimed he was in Lahore for consultations. What can be looked up? I can’t say no to Imran Khan. “As soon as Imran Khan gives me a nod, the provincial assembly will disband,” he inquired.
According to cabinet insiders, they remained hopeful that the party chairman would consider their suggestion to keep the KP government in place. “It is up to him now to take the final call,” a cabinet member stated.
